About the role
Software Integration and Test Engineer
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Integration and Test (SIT) Engineer to join our mission of protecting the nation. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing test plans and procedures for software requirement verification and validation within an integrated product team (IPT) environment. You will be responsible for software integration, requirement analysis, test planning and execution, software performance analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination for remediation. The position requires writing test procedure scripts in Perl, Python, and Linux, and utilizing automated software test tools. You will also conduct test walkthroughs and communicate plans, status, and out-briefs with IPT leads, team members, and the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement test plans and procedures for software requirement verification & validation.
- Perform software integration, requirement analysis, and test execution.
- Analyze software performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Write test procedure scripts using Perl, Python, and Linux.
- Utilize automated software test tools for efficient testing.
- Conduct test walkthroughs and communicate test status and results.
- Collaborate with integrated product teams, team members, and the customer.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Active SCI or DoD TS clearance required at time of application.
- Level 1: Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in STEM.
- Working knowledge of software integration and test principles and processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in Test Automation scripting and languages (Perl, Python, Linux).
- Experience with automated software test tools such as Eggplant, Robot Framework, and Selenium.
- Experience using Atlassian software development tool suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience in Formal Qualifying Campaigns and requirements verification.
- Experience in interface testing.
- Space and Ground Domain knowledge.
- Opportunity to travel to field sites to support software installations.
Salary Range
- Primary Level: $76,200.00 - $114,400.00
- Secondary Level: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00
