About the role
Band 3 Healthcare Assistant - Thurrock Day Hospital
NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic Band 3 Healthcare Assistant with an interest in general physical health for an exciting opportunity at the Thurrock Day Hospital. This clinic-based service operates primarily from Thurrock Community Hospital, with additional clinics across Thurrock. The service provides specialized care including Complex Wound Care Clinics, Peripheral Line management, ECG monitoring, and 24hr Blood Pressure Monitoring.

Main duties of the job
- Conduct clinical appointments at Thurrock Day Hospital and Corringham Integrated Medical and Wellbeing Centre under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Perform administrative tasks, including basic equipment ordering, stock management, and patient appointment/waiting list booking.

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care.
We are keen to hear from experienced healthcare assistants or social care workers with proven clinical and communication skills to join our friendly, supportive, and innovative team. Previous NHS community setting experience is highly desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to utilize a range of skills and experience from clinical practice to assist the registered clinician in undertaking comprehensive and holistic assessments.

High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary (minimum £1,346, maximum £2,270 per annum, pro-rata for part-time).
