About the role
Leadership Development Manager
MongoDB is looking for a Leadership Development Manager to play a critical role in its next phase of growth. This role will focus on identifying future critical skills, designing innovative learning experiences, and ensuring people managers develop the capabilities needed to succeed in a rapidly changing environment. The goal is to design, build, and scale learning experiences that empower people managers to embody company values, serve customers effectively, and ultimately enhance culture and accelerate performance.
This position is part of the Culture, Talent, and Development (CTD) leadership team, which is responsible for a range of culture and talent-building programs, including leadership development, employee learning, talent management, engagement, listening, and inclusion.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate live Leadership Development programs, both directly and through train-the-trainer strategies.
- Influence and assist other teams in integrating leadership development into existing trainings and experiences.
- Program manage development programs and experiences, creating scalable solutions for enrollment, accountability, and impact measurement.
- Program manage coaching programs, including vendor management, invoicing, internal stakeholder alignment, and participation/impact measurement.
- Design on-demand learning and AI-supported experiences aligned with the content roadmap to achieve strong learning outcomes for diverse audiences.
- Orchestrate alignment across concurrent projects by identifying interdependencies, assessing change impacts, and driving clear, priority-based decisions.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across all levels, ensuring clear understanding of ownership, timelines, resource needs, risks, constraints, and dependencies.
- Ensure alignment of deliverables, project priorities, and resources with business objectives and other People Team initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing, delivering, and program managing Leadership Development programs.
- Strong track record of delivering strategic and tactical solutions in fast-paced, high-change environments, preferably in SaaS.
- Excellence in instructional design, creating engaging and effective learning experiences across multiple formats (Classroom, On-Demand, Self-Paced).
- Proven ability to facilitate leadership development experiences with subject matter expertise in core leadership and management skills.
- Expertise in learning program management, including needs assessments, solution design, and impact measurement.
- Experience managing external vendors, including contractors and coaches.
- Experience customizing learning experiences and content for individual business units.
- Exceptional written communication and high-quality project documentation skills.
- Proven program management capability in planning, prioritizing, and delivering concurrent initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience managing learning on an LMS, Docebo preferred.
- Coaching certification from ICF, CPCC, Hogan, or comparable accreditation.
- Proficiency in course authoring software, Articulate Rise preferred.
- Previous experience managing people directly.
- Experience leveraging AI-supported platforms for training optimization.
