Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking an organized and collaborative Learning and Development Specialist to develop and coordinate training programs across our engineering, construction, operations, and corporate support teams.

This role is responsible for working with department leaders and subject-matter experts to identify training needs, develop role-based learning pathways, create training materials, coordinate training schedules, and maintain accurate completion records. The Learning and Development Specialist will support company orientation, safety training, technical skill development, leadership training, and career-development programs.

The ideal candidate has experience developing employee training programs, creating professional learning materials, and managing multiple training projects. Experience supporting engineering, construction, manufacturing, semiconductor, or other technical work environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and subject-matter experts to identify department and position-specific training needs.
  • Develop structured training pathways based on department, position, skill level, and career progression.
  • Create training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, employee handbooks, job aids, assessments, videos, and reference materials.
  • Build training programs that include company fundamentals, safety requirements, position fundamentals, technical specialties, and leadership development.
  • Coordinate and support new-hire orientation, onboarding training, safety training, technical training, and compliance programs.
  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on employee training sessions.
  • Develop skill matrices and competency requirements for entry-level, intermediate, advanced, lead, and supervisory positions.
  • Work with technical teams to convert complex processes and procedures into clear, practical training materials.
  • Maintain training calendars, attendance records, completion records, certifications, and renewal dates.
  • Monitor training completion and follow up with employees and managers regarding outstanding requirements.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, employee feedback, manager feedback, and performance results.
  • Support the implementation and administration of learning management systems and electronic training records.
  • Assist with leadership-development, career-pathing, succession-planning, and employee-development initiatives.
  • Review and update training content to ensure materials remain accurate and aligned with current procedures, regulations, and business needs.
  • Prepare training reports and documentation for management reviews and internal or external audits.
  • Support additional Human Resources and employee-development projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, employee training, or a related function.
  • Experience creating professional training presentations, guides, assessments, and instructional materials.
  • Knowledge of adult-learning principles and common training-development practices.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical subject-matter experts, managers, and employees at different levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate training documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and related business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting an engineering, construction, manufacturing, facilities, or semiconductor environment.
  • Experience developing technical, safety, compliance, or skilled-trade training.
  • Experience using a learning management system, HRIS platform, or electronic training-record system.
  • Experience creating competency matrices, career-development pathways, or leadership-development programs.
  • Experience delivering both classroom and virtual training.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Learning and Development Specialist will work in office, classroom, and active project-site environments. Occasional visits to construction or operational areas may be required, including compliance with applicable safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
