Guest Service Ambassador

The Role
The Guest Service Ambassador will be responsible for ticket fulfillment, retail operations, and assisting with the Magic Memories photo services. This position demands a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences, strong sales acumen, and effective communication.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ticket Fulfillment: Greet guests, provide information on ticket packages, pricing, and promotions. Handle ticket sales (online and walk-up), operate POS systems, manage cash/credit transactions, and issue receipts and tickets. Assist guests with kiosk operation, handle cash, convert vouchers, make change, and issue receipts and tickets. Inform guests about events, closings, restrictions, and necessary information for ticket purchases. Address customer inquiries and resolve ticket-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Retail Operations: Assist customers in the View shop with product knowledge and recommendations. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment. Process sales transactions using the POS system. Monitor inventory, restock shelves, and report shortages. Assist with visual merchandising to enhance the shopping experience.
- Magic Memories Photo Experience: Engage guests in the photo experience area, explain photo package options, and capture high-quality photo prints. Process photo orders, including printing and providing instructions for digital delivery. Promote and upsell photo packages to increase revenue.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure positive and memorable guest experiences. Address and resolve customer complaints calmly and professionally. Share knowledge about View Boston's exhibits, events, and technology. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail, sales, or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in ticket sales, retail, or attractions is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Proficiency with cash handling and operating a cash register with accuracy.
- Passion for the city of Boston and a desire to share that passion with guests.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical activities such as lifting and moving merchandise.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- 2-4 years’ experience in customer service, hospitality, travel, tourism, or attractions preferred.
- Multi-lingual or sign language capabilities are a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic, outgoing, creative, and proactive approach.
