DWDM / SONET Network Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DWDM / SONET Network Engineer based in the United States.

This role is an opportunity to work at the core of modern optical transport networks, supporting reliable, high-capacity telecommunications infrastructure.
You will manage the provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and migration of DWDM, SONET/SDH, and OTN services across multi-vendor environments.
The position combines hands-on network engineering with detailed circuit auditing, documentation, and end-to-end service validation.
You will work with network management systems and optical transport equipment to maintain performance, resolve issues, and execute complex network changes.
The role also involves supporting upgrades, migrations, and cutovers while minimizing service disruption and operational risk.
Strong technical judgment, precision, and communication will be essential when collaborating with engineering teams during maintenance windows and deployments.
