Department Information
Institute Communications leads the storytelling and stewardship of Georgia Tech's voice, working in partnership with communicators across campus to inform audiences, strengthen the Institute's reputation, and ensure consistency in brand and messaging. As the team that defines communication standards and guides collaborative efforts, we support a unified, strategic approach across platforms. This role contributes to that mission by developing creative solutions for executive-level initiatives, institute-wide communications, and research-focused projects, helping translate complex ideas into compelling, visually cohesive work that advances Georgia Tech's impact locally and globally.
Job Summary
Lead and supervise activities related to the creative development and production of all marketing and promotional materials necessary to execute unit/group marketing campaigns. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. This position will advise and counsel: faculty, staff, and external stake holders. This position will supervise: assigned staff.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine marketing and promotional materials necessary to achieve strategic marketing objectives.
- Direct workflow and resource scheduling to ensure projects remain on-time and within budget.
- Perform and lead the idea generation, design, illustration and production of marketing and promotional materials for the unit/group.
- Supervise the development and production of all marketing and promotional materials including work contracted through external sources.
- Track, measure, and provide progress reports of marketing and promotional materials to clients.
- Ensure marketing and promotional materials are within Institute and unit policy and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
