Lead Creative Operations Manager
Datadog is seeking a Lead Creative Operations Manager to establish and lead a new Creative Operations function supporting the Brand team. This role is pivotal in architecting scalable workflows, enhancing operational rigor, and optimizing how creative work is produced across various disciplines like design, video, motion, and illustration.
We are looking for a proactive operator with a blend of strategic thinking and execution capability. You will challenge existing processes, propose innovative working methods, and actively contribute to keeping critical projects on track. The ideal candidate possesses strong operational acumen, sharp prioritization skills, and the ability to guide teams through ambiguity while maintaining speed and quality.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead operational strategy for design, events, video, motion, and illustration to enhance scalability, prioritization, and team efficiency.
- Collaborate with Brand leadership, marketing stakeholders, and external vendors on operational decisions and priority shifts.
- Design and refine systems for creative intake, project assignment, resource planning, bandwidth visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain operational systems, including project management and digital asset management tools, to improve visibility, organization, and delivery.
- Drive efficiency and quality in high-volume initiatives through operational oversight, unblocking teams, and providing tactical project leadership.
- Manage onboarding, communication, and engagement for new creative tools and vendors, exploring AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies.
Who You Are:
- 6+ years of experience in creative operations, production, program management, or operational leadership in a fast-paced creative/marketing environment.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining an execution focus, knowing when to step back and when to focus on details.
- Proven experience influencing creative leadership, executives, and cross-functional teams through change and competing priorities.
- A systems thinker applying curiosity and first-principles thinking to create scalable, sustainable operational solutions.
- Builds trust through clear communication, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and operational credibility with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with creative operations platforms (Asana, Jira, Airtable, Workfront) and interest in AI-driven workflow optimization.
