Application Integration Analyst, M&A Technology

Primary Functions And Essential Responsibilities
Application Assessment & Rationalization
- Perform detailed application assessments for M&A due diligence and ongoing strategy.
- Analyze overlapping systems, functional capabilities, and technical architectures for consolidation.
- Evaluate application usage, business criticality, and dependencies for target-state recommendations.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand workflows, usage, and pain points.
Integration Analysis & Execution Support
- Map application ecosystems, including integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Support application onboarding and integration activities across M&A transactions.
- Participate in solution design, providing input on integration approaches and data movement.
- Assist in planning and coordinating application migration and integration.
Data & Systems Analysis
- Act as a system and data analyst for data mapping, migration planning, and validation.
- Analyze data flows, identifying transformation logic, dependencies, and reconciliation.
- Support validation efforts for data accuracy and completeness during integration.
Application Strategy & Architecture Support
- Partner with M&A Integration Program Managers to align technical design with program plans.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Application teams on enterprise standards.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Contribute to governance forums with architectural input.
Stakeholder Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams (Technology, Strategy, Business, vendors).
- Prepare analysis materials and insights for Technology leadership.
- Maintain documentation of application landscapes, integration patterns, and dependencies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience Required
- 8+ years of enterprise technology experience in application support, systems analysis, or application-focused roles.
- 4+ years of experience within financial services, with exposure to asset management or similar regulated environments, is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise application landscapes (ERP, CRM, data platforms, domain-specific systems).
- Demonstrated experience analyzing application integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Experience supporting application integration efforts, including APIs, middleware, and file-based interfaces.
- Working knowledge of authentication and access models (SSO, identity/access management).
- Experience with SaaS platforms and vendor-managed systems.
- Exposure to M&A integration activities, system migrations, or large-scale technology transformations is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with application inventory and CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience analyzing data flows and supporting data validation using SQL and/or Python.
- Working knowledge of API-based integrations and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, documentation, and communication.

Reporting Relationships
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. This range considers various qualifications and experience levels.
