About The Role

We would love to talk to you! We are seeking an industry-leading Senior Product Manager Technical, to own the vision, development, launch and continuous improvement of AI-powered features personalizing Amazon's shopping experiences, making it feel tailored to each customer's needs and preferences. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. Our Senior Product Managers have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment with new possibilities, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers. The right person has high levels of customer obsession, strong technical judgement, demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and products, and is an independent operator, skilled at working cross-functionally to deliver on behalf of customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the vision, definition, and delivery of personalized shopping experiences that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and revenue growth.
- Partner with engineering and science teams to define the technical roadmap - making informed tradeoffs between model complexity, system constraints, and customer impact.
- Design and run experiments at scale to validate hypotheses, measure incremental value, and iterate rapidly based on data.
- Work backwards from customers - using behavioral signals, feedback loops, and quantitative analysis to continuously refine what we build.
- Monitor KPIs and conduct rigorous analysis to measure impact, identify opportunities, and drive continuous optimization.
- Influence product strategy across the broader Personalization portfolio, communicating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related technical domain
- 5+ years of experience in product management
- Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy, definition, and prioritization
- Experience contributing to engineering and science discussions around technology decisions and system design
- Strong quantitative skills - experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and measure product impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in a technical field
- Experience building AI/ML-powered consumer products (Gen AI, LLMs, personalization)
- Experience with information retrieval, search, recommendation systems, or ML models in production
- Experience with A/B testing at scale and experimentation frameworks
- Proven track record of defining and shipping customer-facing products visible to millions of users
- Background in e-commerce, discovery, or content personalization
