E-Commerce Manager - Caribbean Focus
Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking an E-Commerce Manager to support our Full Service and Luxury hotels in the Caribbean. This role requires bilingualism and the ability to travel internationally once a month.
About the Role
The E-Commerce Manager will drive increased market share and achieve top-line budget goals for assigned hotels through strategic E-Distribution and online marketing tactics. You will identify online marketing opportunities, develop direct and semi-direct channels, and enhance the digital presence of Aimbridge's properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead advisor on E-Commerce and online marketing for assigned hotels, providing training and education to GMs and Sales staff.
- Analyze hotel-specific needs and develop strategies for revenue increase, including SEO/SEM, display, pay-per-click, email marketing, and paid search.
- Monitor, track, and manage relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and brand websites.
- Act as the point-person for reputation management, reviewing social media and responding to online reviews.
- Regularly audit online presence for proper imagery, content, and link functionality.
- Develop and implement location-specific strategies to meet and exceed revenue generation and market share goals.
- Oversee inventory controls and manage booking volumes from third-party companies, OTAs, and central reservation offices.
- Develop and maintain electronic distribution strategies, including online content, positioning, market manager relationships, and OTA/GDS distribution.
- Review and implement rooms inventory and rate controls in central reservation systems.
- Ensure properties are optimized for search engines, partnering with web vendors for SEO tactics.
- Champion efforts to grow online bookings for group, meeting, and catering business.
- Support brand direct booking strategies to shift OTA bookings, identifying opportunities for increased visitors and conversions.
- Generate and communicate analytic reports, assisting in formulating action plans based on data.
- Discuss trends, sales strategies, review past performance, and determine upcoming plans for occupancy and RevPAR maximization.
- Develop seasonal pricing for transient and extended stay, ensuring consistency across all distribution channels.
- Complete weekly booking pace reports, review month-end rooms statistics, and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts.
- Conduct business displacement analysis as needed to determine RevPAR impact.
- Periodically travel to assigned hotels and/or corporate support offices for training, meetings, and other business activities.
- Perform other assigned tasks, duties, and projects.
Qualifications
- Marketing degree and/or appropriate combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of online marketing and revenue management experience specific to the hotel industry.
- Previous experience with major hospitality brands (Marriott, Hilton, Choice, Starwood, etc.) is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of traditional and online marketing mediums, with experience in distributed marketing, business development, and a proven track record in E-Commerce.
- Background in search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, display advertising, and email marketing.
- Exceptional computer literacy, including database, browser, email, document, and spreadsheet applications.
- Previous experience with Property Management Systems and Computer Reservations Systems; experience with IQ Ware is a plus.
- Exceptional service orientation and a focus on guest needs.
- Reliable and responsible with strong follow-up and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills in supporting employee performance.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel periodically for short and prolonged periods.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant Caribbean languages) is required.
