What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, environmental science, ocean engineering, coastal and ocean policy, geology, geography, geophysics, oceanography, spatial science, marine science, physics, mathematics or comparable field plus a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, or a master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
  • Experience in the installation, calibration, operation, post-processing, analysis, and QA/QC of geophysical systems
  • Experience with industry standard software packages such as QPS Qinsy and Qimera, SonarWiz, Mogo SeaView, Hypack, Oasis Montaj, Kingdom Suite, Seismic Unix, Discover, Global Mapper, POS Pac, ArcGIS
  • Ability to perform field work, including travel and weekends, and lift objects over 50lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a US passport

Nice to have

  • Experience with atypical tools such as GNSS topographic survey, vessel-based LiDAR, ROV operations, drone operations, Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers, bottom sampling
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage others
  • Strong work ethic to self-motivate and hold yourself accountable as a potentially remote worker
  • Above average communication skills and attention to detail
  • Genuine passion and desire to work in a marine focused organization
