About this role
As a Product Design Mechanical Engineer Intern at Verkada, you will be involved in the design and development of various enterprise IoT products, including cameras and access control systems. Your role will include taking ownership of products from concept to mass production, prototyping mechanical systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This internship is a full-time, in-person position based in San Mateo, CA, starting around January 4th.

What you need
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields with a graduation year of 2027 or 2028
- Available for a Winter Co-Op, starting around January 4th, preferably for an extended term (4-12 months)
- Strong understanding & intuition of strength of materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing
- Experience with 3D CAD software
- Experience with rapid prototyping, building, and testing hardware
