What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years building and operating production backend services with end-to-end ownership (design, deploy, operate)
  • Deep fluency in a modern language (Go, Java, Python, or similar)
  • Hands-on AWS: designing, deploying, and operating production services or pipelines, with IaC and safe rollout
  • Comfort driving clarity in ambiguous, evolving problem spaces
  • A track record of leading technical projects that span multiple services and parallel workstreams

Nice to have

  • Full-stack experience ownership across backend APIs and frontend experiences
  • Familiarity with security, data, and privacy systems, such as security or audit data lakes, cloud authentication and authorization flows, vulnerability scanning and remediation pipelines, and privacy or compliance-driven workflows (e.g., CCPA, GDPR-related controls)
  • Experience working with large-scale event or log data, including event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or batch/streaming pipelines
  • Experience integrating AI-assisted development or analysis tools into engineering workflows, such as using LLM-powered tooling, automation, or MCP-style platforms to improve developer productivity or system insight
  • Familiarity with Twitch, either as a viewer or creator (or both!)

What you get

  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Maternity & Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Amazon Employee Discount

Worth weighing

  • No specific technologies or frameworks mentioned, which may indicate a need for adaptability
  • Role involves working in ambiguous problem spaces, which may not suit everyone
  • Salary range provided, but final compensation is dependent on various factors
  • Position requires strong cross-team communication and technical leadership, which may be challenging in a fast-paced environment
