About this role
The Composite Fabricator at Stratolaunch will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing composite structures and components for aerospace vehicles. Daily tasks include using various lay-up processes, operating hand tools, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the work area, and interpreting technical documents. What you need
- 5+ years’ experience in composite airframe and structure fabrication, installation and assembly
- Strong understanding of FOD control and tool control
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools
- Personnel safety mentality and promotion of a culture of safety
- Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Nice to have
- Current A & P license
- Experience with high temperature materials such as BMI resins, titanium, and high temperature epoxies
- Experience with high tolerance assembly techniques, including laser metrology, precision tooling and jigging
- Application, repair, and replacement of thermal protection system materials
