Director of Software Engineering - Marketplace Engineering

What You'll Do:
- Influence, coach, and be a servant leader to multiple integration teams focused on transformative products within our People Technology space.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with business stakeholders, fostering engagement, collaboration, and facetime beyond standard meetings.
- Provide guidance in applying the right architectural patterns for application modernization by analyzing gaps between existing and new business requirements.
- Drive automation through increased adoption and maturity on CI/CD stage gates for applications.
- Drive implementation of telemetry features based on domain requirements to improve overall operational excellence.
- Leverage knowledge of Software architecture, Distributed systems, Scalability, Design patterns, and Disaster Recovery.
- Provide technical leadership in building complex, highly reliable, and scalable microservices-based platforms or products.
- Drive technical impact analysis, conduct RCAs with corrective actions for both short and long-term fixes, and prevent recurrence.
- Operate with excellence by setting an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
- Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency, and security.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting, selecting, and developing talent, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning, and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
- Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices, developing consequences for violations or non-compliance, and supporting the Open Door Policy.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 15+ years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
- Technical proficiency in one or more web languages such as Java, Python, React Native, Node JS, React JS, GraphQL.
- AI-native mindset to evolve processes and systems.
- Deep working knowledge of all aspects of Cloud-native distributed system development (Azure/GCP/WCNP preferred).
- Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience managing software development engineers, leaders, architects, and leading engineering projects, guiding engineering teams on engineering excellence & solid system design.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional project development and collaborating with other scrum teams, QA, Release Management, Program Management, and TechOps.

Salary Information:
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Stock.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 3 years' supervisory experience.
