About the role
About the Role
The CSBB Deposits team is responsible for a significant portfolio generating substantial revenue for Truist. This team develops and drives deposit and debit product strategy, design, launch, execution, and ongoing management to meet financial and client objectives. The team collaborates closely with various business partners including Corporate Treasury, CSBB Strategy, Marketing, Sales Channels, Service Channels, Operations, and Technology, as well as Legal, Risk, and Compliance. As a Deposit Product Manager III, you will be responsible for designing and driving the strategy and performance for a set of deposit or debit products. You will have full ownership and decision-making authority for your assigned products or programs. Responsibilities include project management, in-depth analytics, presentations, supporting strategic initiatives, and shaping business/system requirements. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring you to partner with various groups to advocate for the strategy and roadmap of deposit and debit products and services, ensuring key performance objectives are met. You will also monitor the market and propose innovative opportunities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage product performance for a set of deposit or debit products, including financial performance, product design, development, distribution, and pricing.
- Mentor and informally coach other product managers and analysts.
- Determine and deliver on financial targets for sales production, balance growth, client acquisition, client retention, net interest income, fee revenue, and overall revenue.
- Monitor and adjust product pricing (rates, fees, waiver policies) to optimize performance and identify key drivers.
- Serve as a Deposits Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects supporting profitable growth, operational soundness, or regulatory compliance for deposit & debit products, fees, or services.
- Create a strategic roadmap for product launches and enhancements.
- Design, build, and launch new products and enhancements to meet client needs and improve Truist's competitive position, profitability, and risk profile. Retire outdated products.
- Partner closely with the Marketing team to design and execute marketing, promotional, and sales campaigns across various distribution channels.
- Monitor client and teammate experience through surveys, complaint reviews, and feedback, identifying process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key functional leaders (Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Distribution, Servicing, Operations, Analytics, Technology).
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams to optimize products/services, client experience, and financial return, aligning with corporate strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations applicable to consumer and small business banking and/or debit card payment solutions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of clients and their financial needs through analytics, industry research, and feedback.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence to understand competitor strategies and position Truist's product set effectively.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major or equivalent education and related training.
- 10+ years of work experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- 5+ years of experience in a staff role such as product management, product strategy, analytics, or marketing.
- Outstanding influencing, partnership-building, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success working within and leading cross-functional teams of senior leaders without formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey conclusions and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and make decisions on focus areas.
