About the Role
As a Senior Decision Scientist, you will act as a force multiplier, focusing on high-impact analyses and initiatives across multiple business models, including banking channels, segments, and products. You will independently drive decision science projects, leveraging quantitative analysis techniques like machine learning, to optimize business operations and impact. This role involves fostering communication and partnerships across various organizational levels, including engagement with mid-level managers. You will maximize relationships and build trust with partners while supporting efforts aligned with LOB and company goals. The objective is to pursue business outcomes valued through increased revenue and/or efficiency, leveraging data-driven insights for enhanced decision-making. A key focus will be on continuous improvement in decision science delivery and outcomes. You will champion the use of tools to solve business challenges and deliver timely, accurate, and repeatable solutions. Sound judgment, risk management, and a client-centric culture are essential throughout the design, development, and deployment practices.

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, business acumen, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering.
- 2+ years of decision science/analytics project management experience with demonstrated results.
- Proven ability to act as a role model in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and support internal business partners, connecting insights with execution and business impact.
- Innovative and strategic thinker with practical application skills and a strong bias to action.
- Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- High level of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with database environments (IBM DB2, Oracle), programming skills (SAS, SQL, Toad), applied data science tools (R, Python, SAS E-Miner), data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
