About the role
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead one of Stoner's outstanding teams! This individual is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Also, central to this position is building and managing project teams, ensuring quality control and customer satisfaction, and communicating effectively and proactively to the Group Executive, client, subcontractors, and our vendor partners throughout the project life cycles, as well as ensuring positive financial outcomes of assigned construction projects.
The Project Management position at Stoner is a performance-based position where managers are empowered, evaluated and rewarded on achieving a projected level of gross margin earned on their projects.

What You Will Do
- Manage project development from initiation to completion
- Perform electrical bid takeoffs and assemble project bids
- Be accountable for project performance and profitability
- Work with all stakeholders to complete project outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, etc.
- Monitor and support field construction activities, and ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications
- Coordinate project subcontractors and associated contracts
- Create and update project budgets and other financial reports
- Clearly communicate expectations to team members
- Act as mediator between stakeholders and team members
- Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life
- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with change order
- Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis
- Procure work and develop new relationships
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid knowledge of electrical wiring methods, construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principals and techniques
- A thorough understanding of electrical, building and energy codes and their application to electrical projects and design
- Must be capable of electrical estimating to produce job change orders, evaluate and apply job estimates and assist with new estimates as required
- Must be proficient with project management tools and software
- Experience with Accubid Estimating systems is preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with integrated job cost systems to budget, and evaluate reports
- Knowledge of and experience with design-build delivery models
- Experience with identification and quantification of project impacts
- Ability to use commercial judgment in customer relations
- Demonstrated leadership managing people
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work environment
