This position is offered as a full‑time position on site in Gurgaon and requires working shift hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time. Candidates must be available and responsive during core overlap hours of 8:00 AM–12:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time each business day (evening hours in India). Additional working hours will be scheduled to meet business needs, with occasional flexibility for urgent priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated internship or project experience in software development, NLP, machine learning, or building applications with large language models.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python for software and AI/ML development.
    • Familiarity with LLM concepts including prompt engineering, function calling, tool use, and agentic reasoning patterns (e.g., ReAct, chain-of-thought).
    • Exposure to agentic frameworks and orchestration libraries (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI).
    • Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic API, OpenRouter, Hugging Face).
    • Familiarity with RAG architectures and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS).
    • Experience with SQL and structured data querying.
    • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
    • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) a plus but not required.
    • Preferred: Experience with local LLM deployment or fine-tuning using PEFT or LoRA.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Eager to learn and stay current with a rapidly changing AI landscape.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with comfort navigating ambiguous problem spaces.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fluid, fast-moving environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of AI agent architectures, including single-agent and multi-agent systems capable of reasoning, planning, and tool use.
  • Develop and maintain tool integrations — including APIs, databases, and external services — that agents use to interact with real-world systems.
  • Evaluate agent performance by designing test cases, tracking key metrics (e.g., task completion rate, reasoning accuracy, hallucination rate), and recommending architectural or prompt-level improvements.
  • Support prompt engineering and system instruction development to shape agent behavior, tone, decision logic, and safety guardrails.
  • Conduct research on emerging agentic frameworks, LLM capabilities, and best practices (e.g., ReAct, chain-of-thought, function calling, memory architectures) to inform the team's agent strategy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate agent components with cloud infrastructure, internal data systems, and front-end interfaces.
  • Clean, structure, and manage knowledge bases, vector stores, and data pipelines that underpin agent retrieval and reasoning.
  • Document agent architectures, maintain code quality, and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and technical reviews.
  • Candidate must be able to provide 2–3 days per week of partial overlap (2–3 hours) with U.S.-based team members.
  • Regular syncs (2–3 times per week) with product and design.
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based design and engineering teams during overlap hours.
  • Work primarily asynchronously outside of overlap windows.

Job Benefits

We value professionals who are proactive in exploring new ways to work smarter. Ideal candidates will be comfortable using artificial intelligence tools — or excited to learn how — to increase efficiency, enhance analysis or deliverables, and generate innovative solutions. Familiarity with generative AI platforms or a growth mindset toward emerging technologies is a plus.

Remuneration will depend upon the candidate’s experience levels and in accordance with the overall TAG-India salary structure. TAG provides competitive health benefits and paid time off, with training opportunities available for its employees.
