Your Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer and Analyst for Scientific Instruments and Satellites, your missions during the upstream phases (0/A/B1) and development phases (B2/C/D) include:
- Designing the necessary mechanical solutions to meet specified performance requirements.
- Collaborating closely with other disciplines (thermal, optical, production, AIT) to integrate constraints and propose effective mechanical solutions.
- Building the mechanical model and performing associated sizing analyses to demonstrate that the solution meets the requirements.
- Authoring documentation for the mechanical functional chain (product specification, interface description, design description, model description, test requests, etc.).
- Participating in technical reviews and internal/external project meetings.
- Preparing, monitoring, and analyzing mechanical tests for our solutions.
- Providing technical support for monitoring external and internal products.
Your Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical analysis, particularly in the space domain, with expertise in NASTRAN software.
- Experience in developing the concept and mechanical design of space solutions during upstream phases (e.g., bids) or development phases (B/C/D).
- Knowledge of constraints related to production, assembly, and testing phases of scientific/telecom instruments or satellites.
- Experience in leading a team of mechanical analysts or monitoring mechanical products.
- Knowledge of micro-vibration analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of opto-mechanical aspects is a plus.
You possess teamwork spirit, a sense of service, and flexibility.
Team/Manager's Insight:
The role of a mechanical analyst in the space sector is vast, requiring proficiency in software and various analyses (system/sub-system sizing, thermo-elastic, vibration/micro-vibration, acoustics, opto-mechanics), alongside team leadership and schedule/cost monitoring responsibilities. This demanding field often requires very high performance levels.
By working closely with diverse engineering teams across different disciplines, you will play a crucial role in the design, simulation, and validation of our scientific instruments and satellites.
