About the role
Litigation Paralegal, Family Law
Strong and Hanni is seeking a knowledgeable, talented, and driven Paralegal to provide direct assistance to attorneys in our Family Law practice group. Experience in Family Law work is preferred. This position will assist the attorneys in all stages of litigation and trial work, including the preparation of documents necessary for litigation. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting our Salt Lake City office.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing, collecting, summation and organizing the information, data and evidence for use by attorneys in hearings or trials.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and interrogatories.
- Assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, and preparing legal documents.
- Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, cause of action, and to initiate legal proceedings.
- Preparation and organization of case research, notes, medical records, legal documents, and client materials.
- Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
- Verify documents for accuracy.
- Editing and proofreading legal documents; researching, medical records, public and private records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have experience in drafting complaints, motions, answers, and other pleadings.
- Knowledge of the local rules of court, perform legal research, correspondence, etc.
- Needs to be well organized and have a professional presentation.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills.
- Prior family law experience preferred.
