The Opportunity
The Communications Advisor is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of strategic communication plans and programs, primarily for internal audiences. This role leverages strong skills in communication planning, project management, implementation, evaluation, and writing.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Develop internal communication plans for a portfolio of enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
- Lead the execution of all plan components, from writing to evaluation, ensuring programs and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage day-to-day SharePoint intranet content, including writing, publishing, and organizing new content, as well as creating SharePoint intranet sub-pages.
- Support the Communications team in launching strategic projects, including various digital/technology rollouts, talent management strategies, and the four-year corporate strategy.
- Consult with internal clients to determine their objectives and define the scope of their needs.
- Develop creative recommendations and strategic solutions for internal communication programs.
- Provide strategic communication counsel to organization leaders, including key message development and positioning for organizational changes, to help them achieve their business objectives.
- Write and edit content for a wide range of communication initiatives and materials.
- Coach and apply best practices in communication, along with current and emerging trends.

To Join Our Team:
- University degree in Communications or a related field.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in progressively responsible communications roles, with proven project management skills gained through various corporate projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in internal communication planning and implementation, with a proven track record of coordinating and leading all aspects of complex communication programs, including evaluation.
- Experience in publishing and managing content on a SharePoint intranet.
- Excellent writing (for a variety of print and online mediums), editing, and research skills; ability to complete these tasks quickly and meet deadlines.
- This position primarily involves working with predominantly non-French-speaking groups and teams located outside of Quebec, requiring fluency in English. Essential tasks in English cannot be delegated to team members or others.

Salary Range:
$72,847 - $121,411 annually.
The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined by Co-operators at their discretion, considering factors such as local market conditions, geographic region, and relevant job-related factors like knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and training. Employees may also be eligible for incentive programs and additional compensation based on individual or company performance, or other business metrics.
