Job Description
Informatica Systems Engineer Specialist
Societe Generale Global Solution Centre is seeking an experienced Informatica Systems Engineer Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Informatica environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain tools such as Informatica, SQL Developer, Putty, and other client support tools.
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Informatica Server/client.
- Monitor system performance and conduct tuning for optimal efficiency.
- Configure Informatica servers on AWS and RHEL environments.
- Install and configure Informatica Power Center (Server and Client) on UNIX and Windows platforms, including domain and application services.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Workflow, session functions, User security, LDAP authentication, SSL configuration, and Logger services.
- Promote Informatica Mappings, Sessions, and Workflows across different environments.
- Perform backup and recovery of Informatica repository domains and configurations.
- Manage complex environmental issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with internal teams and clients.
- Utilize Shell scripting/Python for automation and support.
- Perform Informatica migrations to newer versions, including CDI-PC migration.
- Manage Informatica CDC PWX loggers and listeners setup and maintenance.
- Provide 24/7 Production support, including on-call duties.
- Basic experience with TALEND is a plus.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with a strong technical solution mindset.
- 7+ years of experience in Informatica Administration activities.
- 5+ years of experience supporting production issues in a large production environment.
- Experience with UNIX OS, Shell/Python scripting, and basic SQL and Java knowledge.
- Ability to understand and debug Informatica administration and development issues.
- Experience in providing architectural solutions for ETL platforms.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; self-starter.
