Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) is seeking a dedicated and data-driven Manager, Recruitment to lead the execution and continuous improvement of our recruitment and admissions cycle for the High School Scholars program in New York. This role is crucial in building and sustaining a robust pipeline of talented and diverse 9th-grade Scholars each year.

Founded in 1963, SEO is a non-profit organization dedicated to closing educational and career opportunity gaps. Our SEO Scholars program is an eight-year academic initiative that transforms public high school students into college graduates, with exceptional success rates in college acceptance, graduation, and first-generation achievement.
Position Overview
The Manager, Recruitment will serve as the primary point of contact for recruitment efforts, partnering closely with the Associate Director and other team members. This role is responsible for driving outreach strategies, cultivating key partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the admissions process to build a competitive and diverse incoming class of 9th-grade Scholars.
Recruitment, Partnership & Admissions
- Execute comprehensive recruitment and pipeline strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and cultivate sources to attract high-quality applicants.
- Recommend and implement innovative approaches to strengthen recruitment outcomes.
- Build and manage relationships with school and community partners.
- Plan and deliver recruitment presentations, workshops, and information sessions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of outreach and engagement efforts.
- Oversee the admissions process, including application review and candidate selection.
- Ensure a smooth and equitable admissions process from application to acceptance.
Recruitment Data Management & Operations
- Track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics to stakeholders.
- Manage Salesforce database and other systems for accurate goal tracking.
- Oversee admissions communications for timely notifications to applicants and families.
- Manage event logistics for Interview Days and other recruitment initiatives.
- Recommend and implement improvements to data and systems for efficiency.
Program & Scholar Support
- Maintain accurate program data to inform Scholar support and planning.
- Generate weekly reports to assist Program Managers with Scholar advising.
- Track and analyze intervention efforts for continuous improvement in 9th-grade Scholar success.
- Ensure timely distribution of progress reports and other key Scholar materials.
- Facilitate programming when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization.
- Experience working directly with youth required.

- Demonstrated track record of successfully executing recruitment processes.
- Experience with online recruiting and data management tools, including Salesforce.
- Passion for closing the opportunity and academic achievement gap for students.
- Data-driven and results-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public presentation abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building professional relationships and providing feedback.
