Job Description
Role Summary
Own end-to-end STEM learning experiences for remote learners, from curriculum mapping and lesson authoring to assessment QA and iteration based on engagement and performance data. You will collaborate with educators, engineers, and content operations teams to ship learning experiences that scale across platforms and time zones.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain STEM curriculum maps, unit plans, and lesson sequences aligned to learning standards
- Design STEM modules and projects with clear explanations and worked examples
- Develop formative and summative assessments (quizzes, projects, performance tasks) with rubrics and success criteria
- Validate content accuracy, clarity, consistency, accessibility (ALT text, readability, accommodations), and difficulty calibration
- Publish and maintain content in an LMS; manage versioning and change logs
- Use learning analytics to identify drop-off points and misconceptions; propose and ship improvements
- Partner with engineers and product teams to implement interactive components and measurement instrumentation
- Create teacher-facing guidance: pacing notes, answer keys, exemplar solutions, and differentiation strategies
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in STEM education, curriculum, or edtech
- Strong STEM writing and pedagogy
- Experience creating assessments and rubrics
- Familiarity with LMS tools and remote instruction
- Comfort using spreadsheets and analytics dashboards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NGSS, Common Core, AP/IB, or provincial standards
- Experience with A/B testing or learning experiment design
- Exposure to content production pipelines and editorial QA
Working Model
Fully remote with asynchronous collaboration and scheduled virtual planning/review sessions.
Success is measured by content quality, assessment validity, on-time publishing, reduced learner confusion, improved completion rates, and measurable gains in learner performance.
