Embedded Software Engineer - Raytheon
Raytheon is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA. This onsite role involves supporting the full software development lifecycle for military and commercial programs. You will contribute to solving complex technical system and software integration challenges, working closely with Systems Engineers to deliver end-user-focused solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Support all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Develop, test, and integrate real-time software applications.
- Solve complex technical system and software integration problems.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers on ideal solutions.
- Potentially travel for business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software in C++ or similar languages.
- Proficiency in computer scripting languages (Shell/Perl/Python).
- Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware and simulators.
- Ability to understand and navigate complex systems and codebases quickly.
- Experience with Agile software development using Scrum.
- Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation (Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, Automated Test).
- Hands-on experience with Git and GitLab.
