Your future role within QRT

You will be part of a global team comprising Quantitative Traders, Researchers and Developers. Our AWS specialists are essential in building the next generation of research platforms, leveraging technologies like EKS, Lambda, SSM, IAM, Secrets Manager, RDS, DynamoDB, Redis, and CloudWatch.

  • Design and implement custom AWS architectures to enhance the quantitative research and modelling processes of the desk.
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers, developers, and data scientists to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, flexible, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Ensure the optimal performance, availability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure to support high-performance quantitative research and large-scale data analysis.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment, management, and monitoring to streamline research operations and enable rapid prototyping.
  • Continuously review and optimize cloud systems to ensure scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment with research and trading objectives.
  • Stay up to date on AWS services, tools, and drive best practices within the AWS Specialists team.

Your present skillset

  • 4+ years experience as a Cloud Architect or Engineer with a strong focus on AWS technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch and others.
  • Experience in designing highly available, resilient, and secure cloud solutions for research or finance environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security practices, encryption, and governance.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and automation tools (e.g.: Terraform).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and serverless architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse technical and research teams.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plus.
