Contract Type: Locum (Fixed-term maternity leave cover)
Shift Pattern: Face-to-face role within standard working hours

Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team at the Conwy Child Development Centre in Llandudno, part of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. This locum position is a fixed-term maternity leave cover, offering a rewarding opportunity to work face-to-face with children presenting with communication and dysphagia needs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting paediatric patients through collaborative care within a well-established MDT.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention for children with communication and swallowing difficulties
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care plans
- Deliver face-to-face therapy sessions in a child development centre setting
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development
- Support families and caregivers with tailored advice and resources
Requirements
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)
- HCPC registration (required)
- Experience in paediatric communication and dysphagia
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within an MDT environment
