Job Title: Specialty Dr in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Specialty Dr
Location: Walsall, Staffordshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application  

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Dr in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client’s dynamic team in Walsall, Staffordshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be? 

Your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments. You will evaluate adults to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, you will formulate individualised treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Your role will also involve overseeing therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions. You will be responsible for regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals and you will adjust treatment plans as needed to optimise care. 

Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach. 

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • You must have a full GMC license to practice
  • Section 12 approved
  • Proven experience in relevant field
