Paediatric Occupational Therapist 

Location: Essex
Salary: £45,123 - £53,603 (including paid school holidays) + Excellent Benefits
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time

About the Role

Our client’s School is a purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5-19 with autism. The school boasts exceptional facilities, including a large sports hall, bespoke sixth form suite, therapeutic spaces, and extensive outdoor areas. As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people.

Our client’s Occupational Therapists work collaboratively within schools and children’s homes, ensuring therapeutic support permeates every aspect of education, care, and support. You will also provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to staff teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist OT interventions for pupils with autism and complex needs.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support holistic care.
  • Provide assessments, formulate treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  • Offer training and guidance to educational and residential staff.
  • Contribute to creating therapeutic environments across the school.

About You

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children and young people with autism and complex needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
