About the role

Job Title: Non-Obstetric Sonographer (General, DVTs, Paediatrics & Gynaecology)
Location: Gloucestershire
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Non-Obstetric Sonographer to join a well-regarded NHS service in Gloucestershire. This role covers a broad case mix, including general abdominal, DVTs, paediatric, and gynaecological scans. You will be part of a supportive imaging team, delivering high-quality diagnostic services with a strong focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of non-obstetric ultrasound examinations (general abdominal, DVTs, paediatrics, and gynaecology).

  • Provide clear, accurate reporting and make appropriate referrals when necessary.

  • Contribute to the delivery of a professional and efficient ultrasound service.

  • Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout all examinations.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration.

  • Minimum of 6 months’ NHS experience (applications without this will be automatically rejected).

  • Demonstrated competency in general abdominal, DVT, paediatric, and gynaecological ultrasound.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
