About the role

Occupational Therapist
Location: Essex
Contract: Permanent / Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their mental health and rehabilitation services. The role involves providing person-centred OT interventions to support recovery, independence, and daily functioning for clients with a variety of mental health and neuro-rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs

  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

  • Deliver therapy through individual and group sessions using therapeutic exercises, sensory integration, and coping skills training

  • Recommend and provide adaptive equipment and environmental modifications

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with caregivers

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to care reviews

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy

  • HCPC registration

  • Experience in occupational therapy, ideally with mental health or neuro-rehabilitation

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
