Job Title: Locum Band 7 Specialist Adult Voice Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: Band 7

Location: Remote or Clinics across Hull and East Riding

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 2–3 days per week (up to 22.5 hours)

Rate: To be confirmed

 

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a highly experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to independently manage a specialist adult voice caseload. This locum opportunity offers flexibility to work remotely or in-person across clinics in Hull and East Riding.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with voice disorders and demonstrate advanced therapeutic skills, including training in techniques such as the Accent method.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a specialist caseload of adult voice patients
  • Deliver evidence-based voice therapy interventions
  • Work remotely or in clinic settings across Hull and East Riding
  •  Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development
  •  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centred care

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with voice disorders
  • Completion of short courses related to voice therapy (e.g. Accent method)
  • HCPC registration and full RCSLT membership (required)
  • Experience using SystmOne (preferred for remote working) • Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
