About the role

Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role involves working within adult mental health services, including Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) and rehabilitation settings. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, developing and overseeing treatment and recovery plans, and providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team. The postholder will also participate in clinical reviews, ward rounds, and ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with NHS standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
• Experience in adult psychiatry, including CMHT and rehabilitation services
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills
• A commitment to delivering patient-centred care
