Grade: Consultant
Location: Southwest
Working Hours: Full-time, 10 PAs (with flexibility for part-time applicants)
Salary: £105,504 – £139,882 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our dynamic team at a client based in one of the most beautiful regions of the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, providing high-quality diagnostic services.

Requirements

  • Full registration and licence to practise with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register in Histopathology (or be eligible within six months of interview)
  • UK-trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award by the date of interview
  • FRCPath (Part 1 and Part 2)

Typical Job Plan

  • Clinical Duties: Reporting on a wide range of histopathology specimens, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and providing expert advice to clinical colleagues
  • Teaching and Training: Involvement in the training and supervision of junior medical staff and participation in departmental teaching sessions
  • Research and Development: Encouragement to engage in research activities and contribute to the development of the department
  • On-call Commitment: Participation in the on-call rota as required
