About the role

Job Title: Mammographer
Banding: 7
Location: Derby
Working Hours: 08.00am – 17.00pm, Monday to Friday
Rate: £35.00-£36.00 P/H

We are looking for a highly skilled Band 7 Mammographer to join our team in Derby. This ongoing position offers a competitive pay rate of £35.00-£36.00 per hour, with working hours from 08:00 am to 17:00 pm. The role is available for an immediate start and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced mammographer to deliver high-quality breast imaging services in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing a range of mammographic examinations, including screening and diagnostic procedures. You will operate specialized mammography equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and provide accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Collaborating closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you will maintain high standards of care, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to the continuous improvement of mammography services.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the HCPC.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Mammography is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mammographer, ideally at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in using advanced mammography equipment and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and breast imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Commitment to providing high standards of patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
