Band 7 Locum Sonographer

£42.00 - £50.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Locum Sonographer to join a leading healthcare facility in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging services in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you have a strong background in general, obstetric, or gynecological ultrasound and are passionate about delivering excellent patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

As a Locum Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound scans, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including radiologists, obstetricians, and referring clinicians, to provide comprehensive ultrasound services. Your duties will include conducting a range of scans, maintaining high standards of patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting, and adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • HCPC or equivalent registration is essential.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ultrasound scanning.
  • Competency in general, obstetric, and/or gynecological ultrasound.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Any scans welcomed - Obstetric, Gynae, General, MSK, Vascular - a combination of any of these
