About the role

Band 7 Locum Obstetric Sonographer 
• Position: Sonographer

• Location: East Sussex
• Start: ASAP
• Rate:
£50.00-£52.00 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Locum Obstetrics Sonographer to join our team in Brighton and Hove. This three-month role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert obstetric ultrasound services in a supportive and modern healthcare environment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and contribute to the well-being of expectant mothers.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Locum Obstetrics Sonographer, you will perform a range of obstetric ultrasound scans, including routine and complex examinations. You will provide detailed reports to support clinical decision-making, working closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals. Your role will involve explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Additionally, you will contribute to the efficiency and quality of the ultrasound service by adhering to protocols and participating in service development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer/Sonographer
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (Obstetrics)
  • Extensive experience in obstetric ultrasound
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric imaging techniques and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing high standards of patient care and safety
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical needs
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
