About the role

Job Title: Vascular Scientist 
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire 
Banding: Band 7  
Start date: ASAP 
Duration: 3 months 
Rate: £52- £65 per hour  
Working hours: 1 to 4 days per week

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Band 7 Vascular Scientist to join our esteemed client's team in Sheffield. This is a flexible locum opportunity ideal for a professional looking to contribute to a high-performing vascular service on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality vascular ultrasound assessments, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.

What will your responsibilities be:

The role involves performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular ultrasound investigations, including carotid, venous, and arterial studies. The Vascular Scientist will be responsible for producing detailed diagnostic reports, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring all procedures are carried out in line with clinical protocols and safety standards. Collaboration with consultants and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure timely and effective patient care. The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload is key.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification in Vascular Ultrasound
  • HCPC registration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a vascular ultrasound role
  • Proficient in performing and interpreting a wide range of vascular studies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Recent NHS experience preferred
