Job Title: Obstetrics & Gynae Sonographer 
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Banding: Band 7 
Start: ASAP 
Duration: Ongoing   
Rate: £55- £56 per hour 
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00am-18:00pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Obstetrics & Gynae Sonographer to join our client's team in Gloucester. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, providing specialised sonography services in obstetrics and gynaecology. The successful candidate will play a key role in performing diagnostic ultrasound scans, including nuchal scans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

What will your responsibilities be:

The Band 7 Obstetrics & Gynae Sonographer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including obstetric and gynaecological scans. Duties include performing nuchal translucency scans, assessing fetal development, and identifying any abnormalities. The role involves working closely with medical and nursing staff to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information. Maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with professional standards and guidelines, and participating in clinical audits are essential. The position also involves contributing to service development initiatives and engaging in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration as a Sonographer
  • BSc (Hons) in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
  • Significant experience in obstetrics and gynaecology sonography
  • Proficiency in performing nuchal translucency scans
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and professional practice
