Rate: £45- £50 
Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Locum Cardiac Physiologist to join our team in Meriden. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing specialized cardiac diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cardiac procedures, with a focus on pacing and devices, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

What will your responsibilities be: 

As a Locum Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of cardiac procedures, including pacemaker and ICD implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and accurately record test results. You will collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans. You will also be expected to maintain and calibrate equipment, adhere to clinical protocols, and stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac pacing and devices. You will participate in quality assurance activities, assist in the training and supervision of junior staff, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures. You will also be involved in patient education, providing information on device management and heart health.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field
  • HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience in cardiac pacing and devices
  • Proficiency in pacemaker and ICD implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results
