Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join the Outpatient Pharmacy team in Newcastle. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a busy outpatient setting, supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines to patients. The successful candidate will bring relevant experience from outpatient pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy, and will play a key role in ensuring high-quality patient care and service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the outpatient pharmacy dispensary.
  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in line with SOPs.
  • Provide advice and counselling to patients on medicines use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe prescribing and supply.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Previous experience in outpatient, hospital, or community pharmacy settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dispensary environment.
