About the role
Product User Experience Manager
Penske Media Corporation (PMC) technology team is seeking a digital Product User Experience Manager. The Product UX Manager will be expected to work across multiple projects and product development streams at once, supporting delivery and process improvement across teams in various locations. You’re a highly motivated self-starter who is organized, can wear many hats, loves using AI to make your job easier and outcomes better, and are passionate about digital product UX and growing an engaged user base. You will have a chance to work on some of the best brands in media including Rolling Stone, Variety, the Golden Globes and more. We deliver using a combination of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) as well as more traditional project management methodologies.Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, design, project management and stakeholders at our brands and corporate teams to design new features and products.
- Partner with editorial teams and designers at our media brands to help deliver publishing efficiency and improved reader user experience.
- Use AI in your daily role and evangelize use of AI across all PMC departments. Research and recommend AI tools to empower design and editorial workflows.
- Operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and change.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company (including senior executives) to prioritize features, define the UX for those features, and ensure successful product delivery.
- Monitor key product metrics and performance indicators, conduct A/B tests, and iterate features to optimize user experiences.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Interact with key stakeholders at PMC’s iconic brands, working with them to understand their business goals, strategies, event cycles, and audience.

- Minimum 4 years' experience working with development projects / teams in the media, editorial, or publishing industries.
- Excellent understanding of User Experience best practices across digital products.
- Experience working with editorial and digital design teams.
- Experience using AI across key UX functions including idea generation and validation, feature prioritization, product development and optimization, workflow automation, and strategic decision-making. Candidates should be comfortable using AI not just as a tool to drive efficiency, but as a part of their problem-solving and product-thinking approach.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Experience working with technical teams and translating ‘tech speak’ to non-technical parties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams / stakeholders in multiple locations across multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred: Knowledge of content management and publishing systems including WordPress.
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
A good faith estimate of the salary range is $115,000-$125,000 upon hire. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
