Sales Engineer - Broadband Replacement Initiative
Nokia is seeking a Sales Engineer to provide comprehensive pre-sales engineering support to US Majors/NE Regionals and Enterprise customers. You will work closely with Account Managers and Partner teams to position and sell Nokia solutions and services. Your role will involve understanding customer requirements, defining technical strategies, configuring and quoting optimal solutions, and advancing Nokia's value proposition to drive growth and success.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Evaluate and develop business opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Act as a subject matter expert, engage customers, present viable technical solutions, and articulate their value.
- Support product demonstrations, on-site lab evaluations, and network trials.
- Identify customer requirements and communicate them to internal pricing teams for successful business acquisition.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
- Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales Engineering support.
- Travel: Up to 50% overnight travel to meet with customers, strategize with account leaders, and represent Nokia at events.
- Engage directly with customers to determine challenges and propose solutions.
Key Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a sales engineer, solution architect, or related technical role in the telecommunications (Fixed and IP Networks) industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Fixed Networks (PON) technology planning, deploying, and managing data-networking equipment.
- Ability to navigate obstacles in a demanding, complex, and competitive environment.
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles; ability to build positive relationships and serve as the primary technical face of Nokia.
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Practical experience with Fixed Networks (PON) and WiFi technology.
- In-depth Altiplano knowledge and hands-on experience is preferred.
