Join MoFo as a PARALEGAL on our Transactions team in Boston! This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on sophisticated financial matters, with each team member playing an active and valued part in every stage of the process. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in complex transactions. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow, contribute, and gain experience in the legal field within a supportive and team-driven environment.
About The Role
Develop and apply foundational knowledge, procedures, and technology skills to complete assigned projects and tasks accurately and efficiently. Follow established processes and clear instructions while building the ability to identify resources that enhance efficiency and support high-quality work product. Apply strong organizational skills to manage workflow, prepare documents, and coordinate effectively within and across teams and departments. Proactively identify issues, consult with attorneys and team members, and contribute to timely problem resolution. Meet administrative and billable expectations, including preparing and releasing daily time entries and submitting weekly timecards.
Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of financial transactions, including general financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate matters.
- Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements.
- Draft closing certificates and checklists.
- Coordinate lien reviews.
- Assist with entity formations and ongoing corporate compliance.
- Attend closings and assist with document management.
- Proofread and redline documents.
- Conduct legal research.
- Support auditor letter responses.
- Prepare and distribute bound closing volumes.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong academic record.
- Ability to work efficiently under direct supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong sense of accountability with the ability to take ownership of assignments and follow through to completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work product.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to commit to 2+ years in the role before law school or other ventures.
