About the role
Litigation Paralegal
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for its Litigation practice group. This role reports to the Manager of Legal Practice Support and will provide project assistance and case management to attorneys and trial teams.
Location and Work Arrangement
This position is available in our San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Seattle offices, offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and database maintenance, including managing electronic data collections, searching data, analyzing data with computer-assisted review technologies, and communicating with data custodians and requesters.
- Collaboration with external vendors and internal IT groups.
- Review and preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Assisting with discovery requests and productions, including Bates labeling, organizing productions, and creating production logs.
- Assisting with drafting, proofing, editing, and filing court documents using eFile systems.
- Knowledge of Subpoena preparation and service of process.
- Cite-checking and Bluebooking briefs, memorandums, and white papers.
- Creating tables of authority and tables of contents for court filings.
- Tracking and communicating case-related dates and information, ensuring all events/deadlines are properly calendared.
- Assisting with witness preparation and assembling binders/folders for depositions and trial.
- Assembling and tracking deposition, hearing, and trial exhibits.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Proven ability in trial preparation, logistics, and presentation.
- Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with litigation support systems such as Case Notebook, Relativity, and Sanction is strongly desired.
- Excellent proofreading, editing, oral, and written communication skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (Preferred)
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or an accredited college or university.
- Specific requirements for positions in California as per California legislation (AB 1761) will be considered.
