About the Product Management Intern Role at MongoDB

We are seeking a Product Management Intern to join our Security Product Management team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering enterprise security products, working with various security technologies such as IAM, Encryption, and Resource-based policies.

As an intern, you will be fully integrated into the team, collaborating directly with product managers, software engineers, and other R&D teams like marketing, UX design, and analytics. Your responsibilities will include understanding and analyzing user needs and pain points, advocating for improvements, synthesizing data sources, discussing technical solutions and tradeoffs with engineers and designers, and refining product strategy for stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For In You

  • In the process of receiving a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • Comfortable with technical concepts; able to dive into design and code logic, learn from existing examples, explore security products, triage bugs, analyze support cases, and discuss technical aspects of tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities and make build vs buy recommendations.
  • Must have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes, with a graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks, typically from June to August. All interns are considered hybrid employees and are expected to be in their office location 3-5 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits (Canada)

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in Canada is CAD $68,000—$76,500. Compensation is unique to each candidate based on skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. Benefits for eligible employees may include equity, employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with employer match, mental health counseling, backup child and elder care, and health, dental, and vision benefits. These benefits are applicable to candidates based in Canada.
