Customer Success Manager

MongoDB is seeking a passionate and ambitious Customer Success Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in ambiguous environments, operate autonomously, and maintain a strong customer-centric approach while helping to build our program. As a main point of contact for MongoDB end users, you will leverage your technical and account management skills, acting as an account team leader across Sales, Professional Services, Solutions Architects, and more.

About the Role

In this hybrid role, based in Munich, you will serve as a strategic advisor to customers, guiding them on MongoDB best practices and overall technology strategy. This includes running enablement sessions, advising on optimization strategies for technical environments and spend, and recommending product features to accelerate customer value and growth. You will also be instrumental in collecting customer feedback to inform internal teams, including Product, Professional Services, and Leadership, on product and go-to-market enhancements. Furthermore, you will de-escalate and resolve critical customer issues, acting as the link between customers and product engineering to develop innovative solutions and influence the future product roadmap. Building and executing account plans to mitigate risk and drive growth, leading in-person executive business reviews, and contributing to strategic internal projects to build the Customer Success program are key responsibilities. You will also document customer interactions, provide feedback on customer account health signals, manage relationships with Sales Leadership, forecast churn and growth, and play a role in interviewing and onboarding new team members.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to customers, providing guidance on MongoDB best practices and technology strategy.
  • Collect customer feedback to inform internal teams on product and go-to-market improvements.
  • De-escalate and resolve critical customer issues, acting as a liaison between customers and product engineering.
  • Build and execute account plans to mitigate risk and drive growth.
  • Lead executive business reviews for strategic customers.
  • Contribute to strategic internal projects to enhance the Customer Success program.
  • Document customer interactions in internal systems (Gainsight, Salesforce.com).
  • Provide feedback to leadership on customer account health signals.
  • Manage relationships with Sales Leadership and Account Executives.
  • Forecast expected churn and growth to senior leadership.
  • Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and ramping new team members.
