Job Description
About the Senior Technical Consultant - CAD/RMS Role at Mission Critical Partners
As a Senior Technical Consultant - CAD/RMS, you will leverage your subject matter expertise to assess, specify, design, and implement automated systems such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems (JMS), and Asset Management Systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite surveys and assessments for data gathering and conducting stakeholder interviews, focusing on system improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement public safety software solutions including CAD, RMS, JMS, and Asset Management Systems.
- Lead projects as a subject matter expert or project manager, specifically for public safety applications solutions.
- Manage relationships with public safety clients throughout assessment, procurement, and implementation processes.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors on behalf of clients to meet project requirements.
- Lead diverse project teams and coordinate subcontractors, conducting regularly scheduled project meetings.
- Develop, write, and track detailed Project Scope Statements (PSS) and Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS).
- Support client negotiations to adjust and amend scope of services, procurement, and budgets.
- Ensure the quality of project deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Plan and coordinate work activities, conduct analysis, develop reports and presentations, and present findings to clients.
- Share technical knowledge and expertise with peers to foster a strong team approach.
- Participate in Public Safety Applications sales initiatives.
- Promote positive, long-term client relations beneficial to both clients and Mission Critical Partners.
- Proactively identify public safety technology trends and develop thought leadership materials.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- 10 years of documented work experience in public safety and project engagement/management, including emergency services and public safety software solutions.
- At least 5 years of successful experience in the assessment, specification, consultation, design, and implementation of public safety software solutions, or management of complex public safety projects.
- Expert knowledge of technical and operational standards applicable to public safety software solutions.
- Expert knowledge of Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or Law Enforcement or Fire Services or Emergency Medical Services operations.
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to present complex concepts clearly to governmental boards and build trusted relationships.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local policies and regulatory activities related to 911 and emergency services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to client locations.
